Irena is the leading actress of the movie. She has played the role of a prostitute that is being tortured in her past life. She was forced to become prostitute and raped multiple times. She was the slave of her former master Mold. Mold was a gangster who forced the young women to sell their body and earn money.

She first hired an apartment in front of Thea’s home and then paralyzed her old maid Gina. Thea was an adopted girl at unhappy Italian couple, Mr. and Mrs. Adachers. The relationship of Irena with Thea was quite fluctuating. Sometimes she pampers her and sometimes she frightened her. Irena was trying to tame the helpless little girl by knocking her down and closing her hands. She asked little Thea to get up again in this situation.

Irena was basically playing the role of the Unknown Woman. She became the part of the family to reveal the hidden mystery about the family. She solved the mystery piece by piece like puzzle and finally reached her goal. It gave her inner peace and provided her relief from her brutal past. This added a new dimension in the last part of movie and turned it to melody drama.
