You may have caught “The Unknown Woman” on your Direct.tv channels recently but how much do you really know about the film’s Italian star, Kseniya Rappoport? She’s made quite a name for herself overseas and here are a few of the other films we think she’ll be known for someday…
The Father and the Foreigner – Shot entirely in Italian this thriller was released in 2010 to little fanfare. Rappoport played Lisa, the embattled daughter, and she did a great job winning over our hearts.
The Rider Named Death – This Russian thriller came out all the way back in 1999 but a young Rappoport played a convincing spy-turned-confidant. There are Russian mobsters, casino ties and a lot of shooting, if you’re into that kind of thing.
Anna Karenina – In her first starring role Rappoport took it all the way as she played Maria in the classic Karenina story. As far as period films go this one’s not quite a home run but Kseniya’s performance brings it back into the respectable category.
